OUR SEWING CLASSES
Youth Program – In Partnership with Kulture Klub Collaborative
For the past three years, MiMi Nguyen has led fashion design and sewing instruction for youth at Kulture Klub Collaborative—a safe, creative space for young people ages 16–24 experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Through this partnership, Gigi XO Studio offers:
- Beginner to advanced sewing and design instruction
- Hands-on mentorship and creative guidance
- Career exposure and real-world fashion industry insight
- A welcoming, empowering space to learn and grow
- Proper techniques and foundational knowledge to prepare for sewing and design jobs
Fashion Show Experience
Youth in the program also take part in an exclusive fashion show, where they design and produce their own collections—from concept to runway. This powerful experience builds confidence, celebrates their creativity, and offers a real taste of professional fashion production.
We believe every young person has the power to design their future and we’re here to help make it happen.
Community Program – Open to All Skill Levels
GIGI XO Studio also offers sewing and fashion design classes to adults and community members who are ready to learn a new skill, explore their creativity, or even pursue a new career path. Whether you're brand new to sewing or have some experience, our classes are designed to be accessible, practical, and inspiring.
In our Community Program, people can:
- Learn how to sew and make alterations
- Create custom pieces for everyday use or special occasions
- Gain skills that can lead to freelance or business opportunities
- Connect with a supportive, creative community
- Upcycle Clothes
No experience? No problem. Our classes are beginner-friendly and tailored to your goals. Whether you want to fix your own clothes, make thoughtful gifts, or explore fashion as a business we’ll guide you every step of the way.
